Wedding Show Handy Hints Check List for Grooms

WEDDING SHOW CHECKLIST

HANDY HINTS

Don't get overwhelm!!

You'll have met lots and lots of amazing wedding suppliers at the show, and will be buzzing (and maybe panicking) about all the different choices you'll be getting to make, in the run up to your Wedding Day.

Suppliers that you would definitely like

Sift through all in the info that you've collected at the show and select the suppliers that you would definitely like to find out more about. (Keep the others as sometimes you'll need second choices if your first choice is already fully booked on your wedding date)

Shortlist is the key

Make a shortlist of all your favourites 🙂

Check for Show Offers

Many suppliers will have special offers which will expire a few days afterwards, so don't miss out on these and make sure you get in touch quickly if you think you may like to book them.

It's time for a bit of research

Find out how great they are... Google them and read all their reviews!! Any good supplier will have a number of reviews on Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, their website etc. If they don't then maybe this should be a red flag.

Once you're happy, book an appointment

Chat about your plans and ideas. A good supplier will listen to you and make suggestions about how they can enhance your day, they won't try and get you to change your mind about what you'd like to fit their ideas!

Make sure you feel relaxed and comfortable with them

It's important that you feel you can trust them to deliver, after all, this is not a run through, there will be no second chances to get it right, and so in particular, your venue, photographer and videographer must be on the same page, working seamlessly together to create your perfect day and your lifelong memories.

Be ready to pay a deposit to secure your date

Most reputable supplies will expect you to commit to the booking by paying a percentage of their fee at the time of booking, this is not unusual and just serves to ensure they keep your date free.

Get a Wedding insurance

Now you have started to part with your hard earned cash, you need to consider something that may not be very romantic or sexy, but is actually really important! Wedding insurance is really pretty affordable, in fact many suppliers will actually include minimal cover as part of their service, but it is well worth considering at this stage, as your deposits will not be protected without it, in the event that the supplier goes out of business or fails to deliver your goods. Credit cards also offer payment protection in most cases nowadays too, but do check your t's & c's before relying on this.

Make a clear and realistic budget

Make sure your budget is clear and realistic, and build in a small contingency, as you want to make sure that you can enjoy your day without the nagging feeling in the back of your mind, that you've overspent!

FINALLY... have the best time!!!

This is the only time you will plan your wedding together and it is the most amazing time of your life! Enjoy every moment and don't sweat the small stuff! It will all come together on the day and you'll have a blast...we promise!!
